Wellington College Archives

Wellington College’s archives are a treasury of original material recording the school’s fascinating history. They include governance and finance records, publications, collections by and about teachers and College staff, records of dormitories, houses, sports and societies created by the students themselves, material about the College estate and buildings, and a large number of photographs.

Some of the archive collection has been digitised and is available on our dedicated archive website. Material which can be seen here includes:

  • The Wellingtonian magazine, 1868-present
  • The College Year Book, 1891-present
  • 1948 Wellington College Register, listing all students to have attended the College to that date
  • The Roll of Wellington College, a termly list of students by set and subject, 1859-1930

  • Edward White Benson’s original scrapbook chronicling his time at Wellington (1859-1873)
